Story Time Book, August 4th – Hugless Douglas

I have always been drawn to David Melling’s beautiful style of illustrating, ever since The Kiss That Missed. With Hugless Douglas, he has created a timeless character who, put simply, you just want to hug. This particular tale follows Douglas as he wanders the countryside attempting to find a decent hug, be it large, tall, comfy or small. This picture book will delight kids of any age, and when they’re finished it, they can practice from the fantastic inventory of Hug Styles at the start of the book… My favourite of which is definitely the Unrequited Hug!
